Just returned from a bus Easter break with my friend to this hotel and can say I was very apprehensive. But we were wrong had the best time. Thank you to staff and the entertainment. Keep up the good work cheered me up no end. It was like a tonic. Will be back

Just left this hotel myself husband and dog Reg. The room where clean and comfortable hot shower. The staff was lovely very welcoming from arriving to leaving. Very dog friendly the guy on breakfast even set a table up for us so reg could eat with us I would definitely recommend and return.. Ignore the bad reviews. You would of got a 5* if the TV worked

Good but not great! Whilst the stunning location means that if ‘The Shining’ was ever remade, this would be the ideal location to film it, the insides of the building are correspondingly that of a haunted mansion. Dark, smelly hallways, creaky floorboards and cobweb infested windows. On the plus side, the rooms are spacious, the lobby quite lively, and obviously, the views unbeatable. All in all, would recommend if are doing something in Tarbet/ Loch Lomond.

I was only looking for a place to sleep in between hiking. The plus points first. The room was clean and shower was good. Fully stocked bar with good service. The downside. Every time you move on the bed, it plays a tune. Maybe Rob Roy had slept in the same bed. Even though I didn't have a car, I could hear bewildered tourists arguing over the hidden parking charges of five pounds per night. The breakfast at ten pounds was quite amusing. It was like a kids breakfast; side plates for the food and tiny glasses for the orange juice (only orange). Oh, and a slightly funky smell throughout the corridors. Not the worst if you are stuck but I'd find somewhere else around there in future.
